Sarah Bio
Sarah is a licensed psychotherapist who believes healing unfolds most naturally when we are met as whole beings — mind, body, and spirit. Her work is rooted in the understanding that each person holds an innate capacity for growth and transformation, especially when supported within a space that feels safe, attuned, and gently curious.
Sarah weaves together her training as a talk therapist with her background in somatic work, yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and energy-based practices. Sessions are collaborative and intuitive, guided by what feels most supportive in the moment, while conversation and reflection remain an important part of the process. Sarah often invites the body into the healing experience by slowing down, noticing sensation, and listening to what exists beneath words.
Her approach is trauma-informed and grounded in nervous system awareness. Rather than focusing on fixing or forcing change, Sarah supports clients in developing a deeper relationship with themselves, allowing insight, regulation, and healing to emerge organically. When appropriate, she may incorporate gentle movement, breathwork, somatic awareness, sound, or subtle energy practices to help clients access deeper layers of experience and integration.
At the heart of Sarah’s work is a belief in presence — being with what is here at a pace that feels respectful and honoring. Therapy becomes less about doing and more about becoming: reconnecting with the body, cultivating inner trust, and creating space for meaningful, lasting change.
Experience
I earned my Licensed Clinical Social Work degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 2009, beginning my career as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. From there, I expanded into school-based services, working with elementary and middle school students. During this time, I trained through the Mindful Schools Program and implemented a daily, school-wide mindfulness practice.
In 2011, I began training as a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and later became a Reiki Master—both energy-based modalities that support the body’s natural capacity to heal. I was also certified as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and later trained as a Somatic Yoga Teacher.
In 2016, I transitioned into private practice, where I continue to deepen and evolve my work. Alongside my clinical training, I was drawn to more holistic and integrative approaches to healing. Over time, I began weaving these practices into my sessions, incorporating elements such as sound, crystals, cards, energy work, and intuitive tools to support clients on multiple levels.
With over two decades of personal practice, movement and embodiment naturally became an essential part of my work. Today, I integrate psychotherapy, somatic awareness, and energy-based practices to support healing that is both grounded and expansive.
